Danilo Pérez's Global Messengers and Children of the Light with John Patitucci and Brian Blade
Danilo Pérez's Global Messengers and Children of the Light with John Patitucci and Brian Blade

Pianist Danilo Pérez has been lauded for more than 20 years as one of music’s most creative forces, blending the sounds of his native Panama with world influences. “As a composer and bandleader, [Pérez is] practically peerless” (NPR).

Pérez leads his international ensemble Global Messengers—presenting an uplifting new work, Fronteras (Borders), which explores how an uncertain social landscape causes division—and his Children of the Light trio, featuring the equally talented bassist John Patitucci and drummer Brian Blade of the Wayne Shorter Quartet, for an evening of stunning, rhythmically charged performances that brings the 2020/21 Symphony Center Presents Jazz series to a close.
